Meet the potter...
I have been working in clay since 1990, when I took a break from painting to pursue a medium that I had yearned to try. I enjoy working in stoneware and raku, and have a particular fondness for Native American pottery, which I collect. I have studied with many accomplished potters through the years, including Juan Quezada, the father of the re-creation of the Mata Ortiz pottery tradition in Mexico.
My work is thrown on a potter's wheel, bisque fired, and glaze fired to 1230 degrees C with glazes that I formulate in my studio. All of my stoneware is lead-free, oven-safe, and microwave-safe.
Working out of my home studio in Williamsburg, Virginia, my work reflects both the historical significance of the area and my love of nature. You are welcome to puruse the gallery of work on this website. For special orders for personalized pots, please contact me directly.

Commissioned works
I enjoy designing and creating personalized works, and have produced awards and commemorative pieces for numerous businesses and individuals. Recently I created Planetree's prestigious Spirit of Caring Awards, given for excellence in the healthcare setting to recipients worldwide, and annual awards given by the American Lung Association to medical professionals who are champions for the cause of lung health..
If you or your business are interested in unique awards or gifts, let's design something together.
